Bundesliga Match Day 25 Reviews
SV Guntamatic Ried 0-0 CASHPOINT SCR Altach
Sahin-Radlinger pulled off a string of saves as Ried extended their unbeaten start to the Qualification Group with a 0-0 draw against Altach. Coach Andreas Heraf now has seven points from his first three games in charge of the Upper Austrian side - a feat only previously achieved by Helmut Kronjäger, who won his first three Bundesliga games in the Ried dugout. For Altach boss Damir Canadi, whose son Marcel came on as a substitute for Ried, this will go down as a missed opportunity. The Vorarlbergers dominated possession (62%), won most of the challenges (57%) and completed more passes (85%-82%), but couldn’t get the goal to break the deadlock.
spusu SKN St. Pölten 1-2 FK Austria Vienna
St. Pölten’s miserable run of form continued as they were beaten by Austria Vienna. American Booth notched his third goal of the campaign in the 29th minute, only for Schmidt to score an own goal barely two minutes later. Austria then completed the comeback when Djuricin slotted home his 22nd Bundesliga goal from the spot on 65 minutes. Manprit Sarkaria was the standout player for FAK, who remain two points behind group leaders Hartberg: the attacker was directly involved in 11 shots (five shots, six assists) and had the most touches of the ball (79) of any player on the pitch. St. Pölten remain level on points with Admira at the foot of the table.
FC Flyeralarm Admira 0-1 TSV Prolactal Hartberg

Hartberg maintained their lead at the top of the Qualification Group with a late win over Admira. Substitute Chabbi scored the only goal of the game - his fourth in the Bundesliga and his second against the Lower Austrians - in the 80th minute. At 57%, Chabbi has the best chance conversion of any player in the division who has scored at least two goals this term. Though the goal may have come late, there can be no doubt that Schopp’s men deserved the victory: Hartberg had more shots (11-7), dominated possession (60%), won slightly more of the challenges (51%) and recorded the higher pass completion rate (79%- 68%).
FC Red Bull Salzburg 2-0 LASK
Salzburg made it 12 wins from 13 Bundesliga games in 2021 with a late, late show against LASK. Berisha opened the scoring in the 87th minute with his 10th goal of the season (a personal best for the German forward), before substitute Okafor wrapped up the win in the 90th minute. Both goals were set up by Adeyemi, who now has seven assists in the Austrian top flight. The Red Bulls have had 15 goals scored by substitutes this season, which equals the record for a Bundesliga campaign which they themselves set in 2019/20. With a nine-point lead at the summit, it now seems to be only a matter of time before they claim their eighth title in a row. LASK, meanwhile, remain in third place, two points adrift of Rapid Vienna.
RZ Pellets WAC 2-0 WSG Swarovski Tirol
Wolfsberg made amends for the 5-3 defeat they suffered in this fixture last month by running out 2-0 victors over WSG Tirol. The win, which came courtesy of two Jovelji goals either side of the break, took the Carinthians above their Tyrolean opponents and into fifth spot in the table. The Serbian striker now has 13 Bundesliga goals for the Wolves - the most any player has managed for the club in a top-flight season apart from Weissman, who found the net 30 times last term. The defeat means that sixth-placed WSG Tirol, who went into the game having never lost to Wolfsberg in the Bundesliga, have now been beaten by every club in the top tier.
SK Rapid Wien 0-0 SK Puntigamer Sturm Graz
Rapid Vienna and Sturm Graz played out a goalless draw in this game - which should perhaps not come as a surprise, given that both teams have not lost a league game this season in which they did not concede a goal in the first half. But it will feel like two points dropped for the capital club, who played against ten men for almost an hour following the dismissal of Yeboah and now find themselves nine points adrift of perennial champions Salzburg. Meanwhile, Sturm Graz in fourth reduced the gap to third-placed LASK to one point.
