Bundesliga Match Day 27 Previews
FC Flyeralarm Admira (5) vs FK Austria Vienna (2)
Last Bundesliga meeting: ADM 0-4 FAK
Austria can kick off with confidence as they haven’t lost in their last nine games against the team from the Südstadt, and in the last 20 league meetings Admira only have four wins to their name. History does suggest though, that if Admira manage to get two goals, they’ll end up as the victors, as those four wins came in the only four meetings in which Admira found the net twice. Austria will be tricky visitors, having recorded four away wins already this spring, after winning just five games on the road in the whole of 2020. They might be up against an old foe in the form of ex-Rapid player Hoffer, who could make his 150th Bundesliga appearance, and his 65th for Admira.
SCR CASHPOINT Altach (4) vs TSV Prolactal Hartberg (1)

Last Bundesliga meeting: ALT 0-1 HTB
Altach haven’t lost any of their four Bundesliga home games against Hartberg (W2, D2), yet Hartberg themselves are unbeaten in four matches against Altach and have scored against them in each of their last five meetings. The East Styrians have also kept three clean sheets in succession for the first time ever in the Bundesliga, and with seven clean sheets for the season, they’ve got as many as in their past two seasons combined. Altach are specialists at scoring from range though, 24% of their goals have been from outside the area, that’s the highest percentage of any team this season.
SV Guntamatic Ried (3) vs spusu SKN St. Pölten (6)
Last Bundesliga meeting: SVR 1-1 SKN
St. Pölten have slipped to the bottom of the table, but they have two positive records to play for on Saturday: They’re unbeaten in five Bundesliga games against Ried, and haven’t managed six unbeaten against any other side; they’ve also scored in all six of their top flight matches with Ried, and have never scored in seven straight games against any team. Ried do come into this one on good form however, as the only unbeaten side in the group since the league split, and having collected the most points of any of their rivals in that period (8). New coach Heraf is the first Ried boss to be undefeated in his opening four Bundesliga games. Muhamedbegovic is suspended for the visitors, after picking up two cautions in Tuesday’s goalless draw.
RZ Pellets Wolfsberger AC (5) vs. Red Bull Salzburg (1)
Last Bundesliga meeting: RBS 2-3 WAC
Salzburg have recorded a grand total of 73 Bundesliga goals against WAC, more than they’ve managed against any other opponent. Wolfsberg are one of only three teams who have scored three times in a game against the leaders this season though, alongside Sturm and WSG Tirol. Salzburg have won 20 of their 26 Bundesliga games so far this season, only Austria Vienna have ever recorded more wins over the same number of games, with 21 from 26 in 1984/85 & 1985/86. WAC have won 12 of their 26, which is a joint club record, matching their efforts from last season and also 2014/15. The Red Bulls can certainly count on the strength of their bench if this one gets tough; substitutes have scored 16 times for them this season, the most by any side’s subs in Bundesliga history.
SK Rapid Vienna (2) vs. WSG Swarovski Tirol (6)

Last Bundesliga meeting: WSG 1-1 SCR
WSG Tirol’s stunning win over Salzburg this week was their tenth victory of the campaign, quite an achievement considering they won just six games in the whole of last season. The shooting boots have been on too, as the 26 goals that they’ve scored this spring are bettered only by Salzburg’s 38, and Baden Frederiksen is currently the top scorer since the group began, having found the net four times. Rapid won both meetings last season without conceding, but this season it’s WSG who are unbeaten in this match up, recording a win and a draw so far.
SK Sturm Graz (4) vs LASK (3)

Last Bundesliga meeting: LASK 2-0 STU
LASK have won each of their last four meetings with Sturm, and haven’t conceded in the process; both club records against this opposition. LASK striker Eggestein has had a hand in each of his team’s four goals against the Styrians this season, scoring two and notching two assists. Sturm have won nine of their 13 home games so far this season however, a figure which they haven’t beaten this millennium. Geyrhofer will be suspended for the home side after a sending-off in midweek, Wüthrich is also an injury doubt in the Sturm defence. For LASK the problems remain more on the offensive side, with Gruber, Karamoko and Raguz still sidelined by injuries.
